Theatre Preview: Beethoven’s 4 Seasons @ The Wardrobe Theatre

Wild Word’s latest show Beethoven’s 4 Seasons is going to take The Wardrobe Theatre by storm this August. If you have a little one in tow, this show is perfect: a delightful and upbeat cacophony of stunning sonatas, symphonies and concertos of Beethoven himself to jaunty contemporary folk music straight through to groovy numbers all woven into a new and original story.

Wild Word’s whimsical style sees a magical and marvellous whirlwind of drama, triumph and trauma as Beethoven’s childhood, to losing his hearing, to the Ode of Joy. There is an early playshop where children are invited to learn songs, play instruments and make a puppet that will star in the show. An afternoon that promises to be both classical and magical for families and small children, book tickets here!

“An intoxicating mix of sound and story to leave a magical world lingering in the minds of their young audience for a very long time.”

- Catherine Freda, Head of Education at St George’s Bristol

“Loved the performance, the acting and music were splendid. The message about his deafness was beautifully done.”

“Thank you for such a rich, touching, sad-joyful occasion. Musical accomplishment and participation – you have all the bases covered. A dramatic delight.”
