Theatre Preview: Fiddler on the Roof @ The Bristol Hippodrome

Since the original 1964 Broadway production of Fiddler on the Roof, the show has enjoyed immense praise, popularity and acclaim – a feature film, nine Tony Awards, five Broadway revivals and countless adaptations. Bristol’s own multi-award winning production company BLOC are set to perform the inspiring classic this October at the Bristol Hippodrome. The timeless classic will be brought to life by the 80-strong local ensemble, supported by a live orchestra.

With Simon Vardakis (from Clevedon) will play Tevye, Lucy Pope (hailing from Westbury-on-Trym) as Golda and Amber Andrews (from Bishopston) as the Matchmaker, Bristol’s BLOC productions’ will bring the universal themes of tradition, faith, family and love from Fiddler on the Roof to the Hippodrome with a fresh, funny and feeling performance.
