Theatre Preview: Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical @ Bristol Hippodrome

by Abi Hack

After its sell-out two year run in Australia, and subsequent openings in the West End and Broadway, David Ian Productions and the Ambassador Theatre Group bring their award-winning Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical to Bristol’s Hippodrome this May/June.

Based on the 1994 movie, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, this musical follows three friends (and a battered old bus) on their adventures in search of love and friendship.

The cast includes pop sensation and ITV1’s Dancing on Ice finalist, Duncan James (Legally Blonde, Chicago), alongside Simon Green (Titanic, The World Goes Round, The Phantom of The Opera), Adam Bailey (Starlight Express, Chicago, Bare) and Philip Childs (Wicked, People, The Habit of Art).

Prepare to have your eyes and ears dazzled by the eccentric wardrobe, toe-tapping classics and general feel-good attitude of this fabulous Olivier and Tony award winning musical!
